Before power can be witnessed, someone must use what they have been given.

The Talent begins with an ordinary branch suspended in darkness. Nothing about it proves that it carries power. It has no sparkle, no visible magic and no hand directing it. It becomes significant only when someone recognizes its potential and chooses to use it.

This painting is the first instrument in a developing story about faith, talent and the ways people interpret power. A stick has been chosen, but no one has yet seen what it can do.
